This is totally unfair. I've found a bunch of people that have the same specs as me and they ordered later than me, as a matter of fact, 5 days later, and there's one that ships today and another one that is shipping friday. While I have to wait till the 21st?! what the heck..

edit: they just ugraded mine to next business day shipping ..

we're not crying either, just whining. and when ordering something expensive, we'd like to expect good service at the least...or at least accurate order information.

When you go to a nice expensive restaurant, you would expect good service.

Ordering from Dell is like going to Taco Bell just because you ordered the "expensive" steak burrito instead of the cheap beef taco doesnt mean you will get good service.

yea, so i called and the rep said she put a "priority" on my order... but i doubt that will do anything. she said none of my items ordered are causing any delay, but she could not answer me why people who ordered it later than me got theirs earlier..

So what you are saying is that if you ordered from one department (say Small Business) and you got an EPP discount as well as some stackable coupon; that person will get theirs after someone who paid full price? That's a dumb theory that would be a CS nightmare.

If that laptop really ships on 8/21 then you have a reason to be upset. Also, unless you know what all the differences between your order and others, then you can't say for sure if you are being treated unfair.

IMO, CS knows nothing but gossip between the cubes and no more facts than you.

OP, what are you talking about? Dell is plenty fast! :p I know that I ordered different system than you did, but here's something that will probably make you feel... even worse.

Maybe guys who ordered a month before me and are _still having problems_ getting their M1330's should show their reps this photo. It won't speed up the delivery, thou.

EDIT: In case some of you miss the joke, notice that there is :p after my claim that Dell is fast. I was exceptionally lucky to get my unit so soon!

you pay 5 bucks for a meal in Taco and 50 bucks in Olive Garden...its perfect for a Dell vs. Sony analogy, isn't it?

ok, I accept it. I am cheap... :D

Wow I don't even know how you could be complaining right now... It hasnt even been two weeks since your order date. You have no patience what so over. People on here who had order dates before yours don't complain that much. maybe if you have been waiting like three weeks or so and had a delivery date of like 8/28 like most people then I would say its ok. So yea theres a lot of people who have been waiting over a month for their laptops and have been seeing many other people getting theirs before them. So yea don't complain right now lol.

When someone plops over $1,000 on a laptop and they don't get in a few days (the time that Dell usually gets the laptop to a person) then they are feeling really anxious. If there was no delays in the computer config screen at the time that you place the order, then there should be no reason to not get the computer is a reasonable amount of time. You should be able to get your laptop in a week. It is poor that Dell cannot promise that.

Ex. I ordered Ruby Red because it was not delayed. But guess what? I called up a few days after my order, and it was delayed!

ok it does suck to have your laptop delayed but people who ordered weeks before you had absolutely no delays on any parts. There was none but most of those people are keeping their cool and didnt rant about that after two weeks lol. Ordering late july is nothing compared to some other people. So you should know that your lucky that you only have to wait like 2-3 weeks for your laptop.

While relative, I think those people still have a right to complain if they believe they are receiving poor service. Just because someone who waited longer without complaining doesn't mean complaining is wrong, or somehow makes you whiny. And to qualify that, I've been waiting for over a month. I've complained. I've seen others who have waited for less time complain, and I have no problems with the complaints, unless it's unreasonable (like they waited a day...).

It can't be the case since I got two through EPP with huge discounts and received both.

By the way, I'm Italian and Olive Garden is to Italian food what Taco Bell is to Mexican food. Neither is anywhere near authentic or home cooked. ;)

which part of the US? We drove 20 miles to nearest Olive Garden, waited 15 mins to be seated and paid >50$ for two (I exaggerated a bit in my post, so bite me... :D ).

its gotten to the point where i'm not even excited about getting my laptop anymore. I'm not as anxious to check the order status because I know its not going to change, and I'm not even optimistic anymore that I will be getting the laptop relatively soon. thanks dell!!!
