I've had this Laptop for about two weeks and twice I get an Unknown Battery Charger. I have to go into the BIOS, Unplug and reconnect and then it is recondnized. This only happends if I unplug the charger for any lenght of time. If I leave it plugged in, there is no problem.
    Any Ideas?

I have seen that message twice. I usually just unplug and plug back in and it is gone.

I know it doesn't seem like a big deal but my wife's 1705 that we had over a year doesn't do that nor the 1100 and 5150 either. I just don't want this to be a bigger problem later down the road.................

Mine does that every time I move the laptop or the cable. The next time I boot I get the message. I contacted dell and they sent a new charger and it’s the same.

I have not called dell again, the only other thing it can be is the part you plug it in to and I don’t want to send it to dell to be repaired.
