Hey guys, I've just purchased a mint Latitude D420 off Ebay and I am absolutely smitten by it. However I can't work out how to use my 3G (HSDPA activated) T-mobile sim. The Dell (UK) site only lists the driver/app for Vodafone. Is there a way to use non-Vodafone sim cards in my notebook?

    Thanks in advance

OK, scrap that question. I've just realised (in the BIOS) that my notebook doesn't have a cellular 3G card installed, even though there is a sim card slot.

You need to have installed the radio card as well. I have the Dell Wireless 5520 for Vodafone but I can tell you that the radio card is unlocked and you can drop any other 3G network in there. You'll need to create a new profile on the connection software with the correct connection details for T-Mobile. I have done this for Three on payg and it works fine.
