    Hey all,
Ordered my first laptop a week ago. A Dell 1510. Been reading up on a bunch of what seem to be very well written How Tos on things like installing the OS, backing up/burning an OS image to disc for backup, restoring the utility and restore partitons, optimizing the laptop and all kinds of stuff.

Alot of, if not most of these How Tos, once I got deep into them, seem outdated for what we have today, as alot of them were originally written 4 or 5 years ago. Like I was just reading one of Goodells How Tos that Amber references in one of her How Tos. He talks about booting from floppy for the procedure he's describing. I stopped right there.

This seems like a really great forum. It would be nice to see the BOLD "How To" Stickies of the forum kept up to date for the many newbies, including myself, joining this forum for answers and to pick up a little knowledge and hopefully be able to give back at some point in time.

    Thanks for reading.
