    Hello

My new studio 15 (1555) arrived today and the instructions advised to update the computer with the latest Bios and drivers.

I followed the instructions and all was going well (I could see various things being downloaded) until my son clicked on a window that had popped up (believe it was from McAfee) and the computer switched off.

I went back to the Dell support to ascertain if everything had been downloaded properly and attempted to download the files again unfortunately I kept getting a message that no files have been selected !

How do I find out what files if any were downloaded from my original attempt? Where do you look to find out if you are up to date BIOS/DRIVER wise

What am I doing wrong?

This is all so flamming confusing....I haven't got a technical cell in my body,so please make any answers very very simple....I wont be offended lol

I've also noticed that some of the keys on the keyboard are not as solid feeling as others, ie they push down more and other keys move when I'm typing....is this normal for laptops?

The keys affected are mainly the inner ones ie D,F,G,H,X and so on

    Thanks for your assistance

Sounds like the bios may have finished loading, and usually restarts the computer when it is finished..

i assume you have windows7 or vista? to check what bios version you have go to start, in the search box type in "system information", and it should find the system information application. Run it and it will pop up a windows, Somewhere on the right hand side will say "bios version/date" and that will be your bios version. If that matches the one you tried to install sounds like your set.
