My wife was playing WoW and said taht it was slow loading and even slow to turn off or on. I paid $599 for it and was wondering if anyone could recomment a Dell for around $700 that would play wow better than this. I didnt even realize it was only a 64mb GC untill today... wanting a 128mb at least.

Thanks in advance for any help.

First of all it has a Celeron as the processor. It's not necessarily a bad processor but I would never buy one for gaming. It's Intel's low-end processor.

Second, it had a shared-memory integrated video card. If you're doing any gaming you'll want some kind of dedicated video card. Even if it were 128 or 256mb of shared video memory, you'd want a dedicated video card.

I'll take a look and see what I can get for that price on Dell, but I'm from Canada so one of the other members might be able to better help you with the discounts/coupons.

World of Warcraft will run on a soup can...

anything you buy now will run it. I would go with the 1501, as it has a ATI video card.. which is better.

That's what you get for listening to random salespeople at random stores :p. They'll tell you anything you want to hear so you buy the item...it's their job.

Just wait for the 1520. It'll be a good budget laptop that can handle WoW just fine and many future games as well.

wow, I am sorry they suckered you into that. The 1501 is your best bet. You can pick one up for $600 USD that has a dual core and a 256 Meg graphics card. Same specs on everything else.

Ok It is cheaper at that site but since I wanna use my Star card I have to order it through AAFES.com So I was wondering should I upgrade from...

    Mobile AMD Sempron™ 3500+ (1.8GHz/512KB) to
    AMD Turion™ 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology TL-56 [ Add $110.00 ]
    512MB DDR2 SDRAM 533MHZ, 1 DIMM to
1GB DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz, 2 Dimm [ Add $50.00 ] Or buy the memory from newegg or something.

    thanks again for the help
