    Hi,

I wondering about buying 600m in Canada (newfoundland) through my father who lives there. I have reading about the cost of ram on dell.ca and though maybe just buy it with 512mb ram in one slot and then upgrade via some other shops. Can you help me find the right one for 600m so my father does not have to travel all over the country to find one [ :D]
Also heard about hard disk (7220rpm) but can remember the name..

    Any help would be appricated.

The faster hard drive is the Hitachi 7200 RPM 60GB drive. I'm not sure you really need this though. As for RAM, check out www.crucial.com. I think, but am not sure, they sell to Canada.

Yes, check crucial to find the right type of memory, but you can find it cheaper elsewhere. Newegg.com is the best I know of, but I don't know if they ship to Canada.

Thanks found one at crucial.com which sends to Canada and it will save me some bucks.

But one question regarding processors, what are your takes on 1.6, 1.8, 2.0? Is it worth it to buy the biggest or what?

I generally recommend considering RAM first, 512MB for most tasks, but 1GB for gaming. I usually get one notch from the bottom. Make sure it is a Dothan core processor. I don't see a difference between a 1.8 and 2.0 it is benchmarked.

ok, I will go for 1gb RAM. But 1,8 for 600m is an dothan right?
