So right now I have High Definition Audio 2.0 placed in my order. I'm wondering if upgrading to the X-Fi card will be worth it?

If you change the order you will get your delivery date pushed back even further. Just a thought.

I'd wait until the thing ships, see if you are happy with the audio (you probably will be). If you want the audio afterwards, you at least tried to go without. If you do not need the audio card, then you saved yourself some $$.

You are talking about the ExpressCard Creative solution right?

I think that's just an external sound card that plugs into your expresscard slot - you could always purchase it separately later.

And for less money. You could use a 15% E&A coupon from Dell, or get it cheap from NewEgg or similar vendors.
