    Hey all!

Well, my Inspiron 1520 is arriving with 2GB of ram, however I wish to upgrade it to 3 or even 4gb before I leave for uni...

Im on Newegg.com looking at 2gb RAM cards, however do not understand if they will work on my inspiron 1520 model...

My notebook arrives on Monday, but the invoice states the ram is:

    "2GB (2 X 1024MB) 667MHz Duel Channel DDR2 SDRAM"

I realise the notebook only has two slots, so im going to remove one ram card and insert a new one...

I was looking at this card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148060

Tell me, would it fit in my notebook? if not, where can I get 2gb of ram to go into my notebook!

    Cheers,

    Matt

Having 2x2GB cards will work. it will be limited by vista down to 3.5GB's unless your running a 64bit OS.

On my 1520 i have a single 2x2GB card. PC5300. I got it from NCIX.com. I plan on putting another one in as well. I also tried it with that plus another 1GB stuck and i got 3GB's running very well.

yes, that will fit your notebook. Any PC2 4xxx-5xxx series should work. i think the 1520 is made for 5300 so i got that.

    Good luck.
