    I dont know too much about the subject. Im not sure about the compatibilities after reading this

    What memory sticks can I get for my dell inspiron 1520. I want to upgrade it to 4 GB RAM.

    I will upgrade eventually to vista 64 bits too

    It would be advisable to buy memory from reputed brands such as Kingston, Corsair, Crucial and OCZ.

    I hope you are aware that the maximum amount of RAM you can use with a 32-bit operating system is 3 GB. You will have to upgrade your operating system to a 64-bit version before upgrading your RAM to 4 GB.

    It varies by system depending on what additional memory addresses are pre-allocated by the BIOS. For instance, on board Video Memory or Sound Buffers...
