I just wanted to find out what the best option would be for me. I've found a website that sells the LCD's for the E1705 and then I've also been told I can purchase the new LCD from Dell Spare Parts. Is it better to go through Dell since they made the laptop and I wasn't sure if anyone knew of any other options I might have to upgrade the LCD? Also does anyone know if the 9300 WUXGA is compatible with the E1705/9400? Thanks for any help.

i would go with the best price/warranty/return/exchange combination possible.

if you can get a make/model number of the non-dell vendor, it might help determine if it's compatible.

my hunch is that it probably is, but don't take my word for it.
