Hey guys, I recently purchased a 1520 and I'm ordering a sata 250gb hard drive as we speak...What I've read about is slipstreaming drivers and other things that I dont know much about.... Bottom line is that, if I want to use this new hard drive what steps will I have to go through before installing vista?

Just get an external caseing.. and it use it as an external harddrive

no need to open ur laptop and u can easily run it as a 2nd harddrive

Refer to the service manual on how to replace the HDD.

You don’t have to slipstream SATA drivers; instead, you can load them within Vista installation. Boot from Vista DVD, after agreeing to the license agreement and selecting Custom (Advanced) option, you will be asked Where do you want to install Windows?. If your hard disk is not already listed, then click on Load driver, then insert the CD or plug-in a USB flash memory stick with the SATA driver. Afterwards it’s pretty simple and straightforward.
