I currently have a Dell Inspiron E1505 with 1gig of RAM memory. Recently, i started using Photoshop CS2 for my photo editing and discovered that 1gig is not enough when i do heavy-duty editing. So, i decided to upgrade to 2gig and wanted to get some advice on what i need to get to complete the upgrade. Thanks.

check to see if you have 1 dimm or 2 dimms. Then you buy a PC-4200 or PC-5300. I recommend PC 5300 faster RAM

When i purchased the laptop it came with 1GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz, 2 Dimm. Does this mean that i have two 512MB cards instead of one 1GB? If so, both slots are already taken and i will need to remove one to make space for a new 1GB card.

As well, if i were to add a 1GB card, that would bring my total RAM memory to 1,5GB, right?

    Thanks!
