    Hey folks,

I just picked up an XPS Studio 1640 with Vista Home Premium, and I'm planning to do a clean install. I think I have that figured out, but I want to upgrade to Ultimate.

Can anyone tell me if the upgrade will change anything that I have accomplished with the clean install? Will it reset my partitions or anything like that?

It's my understanding that without the full version of Ultimate, if I ever wanted to do another clean install, I would have to use the home premium disks during setup and run the upgrade again. (Please correct me if I'm wrong).

I'm just wondering if, other than what I noted above, there is any detriment to getting the upgrade rather than just paying more for a full version.

    Thanks for the help!
