I have Inspiron 6000 with ATI Radeon Mobility X300 graphics card. Is it possible to replace it with something better.
I understand that Dell doesn't necessarily support this kind if tinkering, but is it possible to put a more powerful graphics card in and get it to work?

Usually your only choices in video cards in a laptop are the ones that were offered when it was bought and you'd have to purhcase the video card from the manufacturer to make sure it'll fit. After looking at Dell's website it appears that the only video cars offered in the 6000 were Intel GMA and the X300 so it sounds like you're stuck with the X300. However, maybe they had two version, one with 64MB ram and the other with 128; if so, that will be your only options.

There was indeed a 128 MB version. That would be your only option if you don't already have it.

Well if you can wait, then external video cards are suppose to start coming out in 2 years or so.
