    Urgent HELP - big video card problems.

    hi..
    i am in bigg trouble i guess.
    this is my last project at school..
    my last note
    final of my carreer and my lapt goes down.
    so i am very..nervous..

    here is it.

    i have
    DELL XPS M1710
    with 2 gb of ram
    512 nvidia video card GeForce Go 7900 GTX

    VIDEO CARD MEMORY Problem
    last i remember was.. windows (media center)
    downloaded an update
    i turn of the computer and updates were installed
    so the screen tellsme..DO NOT UNPLUG orsomething so i wait
    the it turn off..

    i move to my school and turn on my computer..
    it started normally..windows..loaded..and then BLACK SCREEN!
    dont know why.. or how..
    i turn of and turn on..
    and the screen (even from the bios boot)
    has. problems.. dot lines.. red lines in black screen..
    and.. windows load.. (or try to start up) and when
    it comesthe desktop and the normally thing.. the screen goes BLACK

    i started in safe mode.. and it works normal i guess.
    i RUN THE DIAGNOSTICS from dell..partition.
    and.. it said me this,

    Error Code 5300:0119
    Detect a failure while writting and reading video memory.Video mode Eh 640x200x16. Address A0024h expected to read 0h, but read 10101010h instead.

    i dont know what i can do..
    any onw of you know an answer or know what happend..
    or how i can fix it?

    If it is working in safe mode, then you don't have any issues. As far as the error from the diagnostics program, it depends on various factors and not necessarily an error. Uninstall the graphics driver and use a driver cleaner program to clean up any residues left behind. Boot up and install the driver again. Your problem should be solved.

    actually..
    i did some search forthe problem
    and themsaid its because an BAD driver in update of nvidia with XP Pro.
    BUT other people said..its hardware problem and i have to replace..
    i amvery sad..
    i am in warranty..
    but i am un SouthAmerica.
    i am not sure if it works here..
