I have XP media center home edition for my 6400.

So I'm playing WoW and all of a sudden, when I tabbed back into the game, my computer froze but my cursor can still be moved. The game is frozen, there is no motion. I tried alt + f4 and ctrl alt del, and none of those works. Its stuck at my wow screen.

I tried pressing, holding, and double pressing my power button but it won't shut down. I don't even how what button to press to restart my computer. How do I get out of this frozen screen?

Try holding down the on button, until the notebook turns off. Some notebooks have a really long time set, which means you have to hold the button for quite a while, before they turn off. If that fails, then you could just take the battery out, but this could damage Windows files, and other program files, and it should only be used as a last resort.

Have you held down the power button for like 10-12 seconds?

Try holding the Fn key + Power Button and see if the hardware reboot works.

If all else fails, you can remove the battery (not recommended, but what else can you do) and unplug the power cord.

Hold down the power button for more than 4 seconds and see if your computer will shut itself off.
