    Hello all

I just placed an order for the Latitude D830. I want to know the difference between the a 256MB NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M and a 256MB NVIDIA 8600M GT. Which one is better any why? dell rep told me the NVS is better, however I don't know he I trust him or not.

What do you think and what would you choose and why? I'm going to use it for school work and gaming as well.

    please help..

    thank you in advance...

From the looks of it they don't offer the 8600 with the D830.

The 8600 is better for gaming. The NVS140 is based an a 8400 part I believe.

Look on vga charts at tomshardware.com or look at benchmark scores on www.laptopvideo2go.com . You're asking some really specific questions that some general users may not have the answer to.

I'm so confused, I don't know if I should keep it or not.

*Anyone with that system and video card?*
