Urgent: Possible Rootkit

Hello everyone,

I was doing a regular scan with Mcaffee and a message popped up about a possible rootkit on my system due to changes in the registry. I did a HiJack This scan and this is what I found:

Your Hijack Log Clean Bro but Did Mcafee says the reason for suspecting a Rootkit bro ?? because Rootkits are very hard to find out

 

All Mcaffee said was that changes have been made to the registry and that a possible rootkit is trying to hide itself. If nothing is found during the scan in normal mode, it told me to either run the prescan or to boot into safe mode and scan again (which is what I did, but it still came up with nothing).

Does anyone know any good anti-rootkit programs that are FREE from trusted sources?

The actual message from Mcafee is:

The On-Demand scan found alterations to code or data which may indicate that a rootkit is attempting to hide files, registry keys, processes, or other items. If this scan fails to find anything then the computer should be scanned with McAfee Prescan or booted into Safe Mode and this scan run again.

Download this Microsoft utility and run a scan.
