Does anyone know how I can configure my Latitude 630 with bluetooth to my Verizon LG vx8700 so I can dial out to connect to the web?
I tried to use bluetooth to search to make a connection, but they don't see each other.
    Thanks.

Linking a phone to a laptop through BT may take some trial and error. One device has to be set to discoverable mode, which only lasts for a short time (for security reasons) and then the other device has to find it. You'll have to look through mysterious menus to find the right sequence of steps. As I recall, it didn't work in one direction, and it didn't work in the other direction at first but suddenly it worked. I no longer remember the details because now they are paired and so there is no further difficulty..

You'll still have to hack the phone because Verizon disables DUN (dial-up networking) so they can charge you for data access. The hack is not trivial but not too difficult. Google is your friend:

Thank you for excellent response. I was able to link the laptop and phone, but now I don't know what to do with it. I have to figure out how to use this linkup to call a dial-up access # on the phone and have the laptop surf through that. I guess that is where the link you provided will help. right??
