Ok guys I just discovered a very annoying Static/Buzz Sound which is exerted through the headphone stereo jack on the left side of my Studio 15 when plugged into my stereo (for surround sound) while the three Prong A/C Adapter is plugged in.

It took me 20 mins of research to find a resolution,
I read that this was caused by 'ground looping' and I must find a way to elimante it.

I read further and another consumer purchased a new sound card while another got the charger adapter replaced**.

**To actually fix this issue, you may eliminate the ground on the three pronged adapter, this can be done by going to a cheap 99cents market and purchased a small outlet adapter that goes to a 3 prong to 2 prong (eliminating the ground).

Hope this information can help anyone encountering this issue!!

I fixed this issue for 99cents while others spend more money and waste time, and it still is not gauranteed to get rid of the static/buzz...

I switched to a APC UPS which reduced the static quite a bit. Was onsale at Frys for $29.99, offers 550VA rating. Powers my router, 1645, modem, USB hub, and external DVD burner for about 20-25 minutes. ^_^
