Besides using the fingerprint reader for logging in, what else could we use it for?

You can use it instead of auto complete on passwords in Internet Explorer.

    It's more secure/almost as fast.

It's not any more secure, but it is faster.

I'm having trouble getting it to work consistently in IE (and is there no way to get it to work with other browsers?). My system uses the Embassy Wave Security Suite. Anyway, it's hit or miss whether or not the save login credentials (login credentials) dialog box pops up at any given site. At first I thought it was site-specific, but after repeated test, I realized that it was almost random.

Any thoughts? I've already formatted and reinstalled Vista and the TPM and security software, but I'm still not getting good results. The only thing that works (MOST of the time) is the Windows login.

I'm using it on a M1330 and the software and hardware is different: UPEK Fingerprint Reader Suite.

It is working for Firefox as well as IE

Does anyone know if you can use the fingerprint reader to open programs/go to websites?

On my m1330, you can assign specific tasks to specific finger swipes.

What third-party program is that, and where can we get a copy of it? :)
