Hi, I was just inquiring as to whether you are able to use a credit card from a country different from the Dell country site you are purchasing from.

My specific case is, whether I can purchase a laptop from Dell Hong Kong with a Canadian credit card (and have it shipped to Hong Kong etc)

erm... I used my credit card from Norway and they're still shipping it to the US address. So it should work. You need to call Global Financial Services. They'll ask you a few questions and walla, you get your card authorized.

yeah some sites/companies will accept but others won't. you just have to try and see if they let you. sometimes they won't mind and you don't have to call but other times they require authentication.
