I am planning to purchase a vostro and ship it to a friend in the US. So my question is that does Dell website (US) accept international credit cards? I am in Pakistan btw.

Your best bet would be to call each manufacturer directly to their sales department and ask such question yourself.

I had the same problem. I wanted to place an order with my credit card, which has a billing address in my country (Dominican Republic), but wanted to have the order shipped to the US. The Dell rep said it wasn't possible through Dell US so I called Dell Latin America and they were able to place the order with my credit card and a shipping address in the US. However, the address they have on file is the final destination address in my country which is the one they'll use for warranty purposes.

Maybe you can reach a similar agreement with the Dell division of your region, except you might run into trouble with the warranty seeing as the computer wouldn't be in Pakistan. Try calling Dell for your region and see if you can make an arrangement that works out for you.

DELL US does accept international credit cards.

Once order is placed it goes for a dept to avoid any credit card frauds.

If credit card is international it goes to a special group within that dept - contact them and prove the credit card is yours and they'll approve it.

why do i have to contact them, don't they need my business? they canceled mine w/o even giving me a prior notice. i guess, they don't care about orders made with international cards....

I rang up Dell USA yesterday and placed an order for an SSD drive i live in the UK and i had no problems with my card which was a Vista Debit card. My status is already showing as being confirmed.
I used my friends address as my shipping and billing address.
It is better to ring them up to place an order rather than to place international orders online.

International credit card is accepted, but you still need a US address to have your system delivered.

Be sure the system you buy has an international warranty (may require 3years on-site to apply) and have it checked whether your local DELL office has that model under warranty.

Latitude are the model most commonly accepted worldwide.

Hi i have never ordered from small business before so i don't really know for sure. I have read though the small business is not as strict as the other business sections.
I have read that some people when they ordered from the small business section that they have just made up business names and it did not go further than that.

You can always try and see how you get on. It maybe best not to let them know that you intend to take this out of the US. You just don't have to discuss that point with them.
If you let onto this they maybe less willing to deal with you.
