if you want to hook the ps2 into the laptop, I'd say yes.

if you want to rip the LCD out of a 9300 and hard wire it, I'd say no.

(specifics help us answer you more accurately)

Yes you can do this, but the res. from the svideo or tv cable doesnt match the res. of your wuxga. I get 740 by something with my ati tv wonder.

Could you elaborate on the specifics to connect the PS2? I tried yesterday and nothing happened.

With my ATI TV wonder, I connect the svideo to the box. Start the ati tv program and switch the input device to svideo.

Sorry, but is that ATI TV Wonder ready for HDTV? Any TV tuner ready for it? What resolution?

No, I have the regular ATI Tv Wonder USB 2.0. At school, our dorms dont get hdtv... With the device 720x480. Compared to the 1680x1050 i run, that is pretty small. If you are wanting something high quality, I would recommend the ati hdtv series. A review of my product is here ( http://www.dealtime.com/xPF-TV_WONDER_USB_2_0_NTSC)

Oh thanks for the info. I just wanted a cheap solution to try HDTV in the future... I don't know for maybe a ps3 or something.

depends on the game, high action games like gt4 yes and slow rendering like FF9 no lag.

Edit: It would mainly depend on the tv tuner you get. The ati box i have bogs down the machine as a whole...
