Ok so i got my bran spanking new xps M1330 yesterday...Beatufiul notebook although I wish I had not read about the few defects it has as I don't know if I would have noticed it on my own. Anyway, I really want to take full advantage of this machine and I am hoping for some suggestions on how to get the most performance out of this notebook...(ranging from software or OS upgrades to minor hardware upgrades)... Here are my system specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7500
    (2.2GHz/800MhzFSB, 4M L2 Cache),
    3GB, DDR2, 667MHz 2 Dimm,
    128MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS,
    160GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive.

First and foremost give it a fresh install of the OS, helps eliminate all of the bloatware.

Probably not, I think traces of things are usually left behind. Clean install is best by far. Dell puts on tremendous ammounts of bloatware as well, and sometimes it is just easier to start fresh. :)

Your hardware is great though, a clean install is the best thing you could do for the computer. :)
