    VGA -to- S-video converter

    Hey, I ordered a studio 15 a few weeks ago, and I know it doesn't have an S-video port but it does have HDMI and VGA ports. I'm going to be going back to school in a month, and since I'm just livin with a bunch of my friends, we don't have any HD Tv's, so I was wondering if I were to get this converter would it work?
    Like does the studio 15 VGA card support TV out directly through VGA port function?

    Also, I know the quality of the picture wouldnt be great, but anyone know if it would be worse than a typical direct S-video connection? Just wanna have the option of connecting it to a standard def TV

    Hmmmm, I've been thinking along the same lines....it should work, but I'm not sure.......anyone else got any thoughts?

    So, has anyone had a chance to try this yet?

    I myself tried a similar VGA to S-video converter on the Studio 15 and couldn't get it to work...

    If anyone has had success, please share! :confused:
