I recently started reading up on some bare metal virtualization (via Xen Hypervisor). I wanted to run linux primarily on my new laptop but i dont think i can sacrifice gaming and my work will require me to use some windows only application. This is where Xen came in by letting me have 2/3 separate OSs depending on my needs. My only qualm, the GT750m in the xps 15 i just ordered (~$1950 after 15% discount) is not supported for vga passthough. Should I cancel my order and get the M3800 which may have this support and pay a bunch more? or should i try to install the k1100 driver on top of the 750m and hope that works? or do you guys have a better idea than any of those?

Its quite a bit of work to have all that set up and be able to use it isn't it? I am not sure if any of the nvidia mobile cards are supported or not. You will likely have to patch Xen with support for either of those cards.
