    Hi guys,

I'm having some problems with the VGAout port for a Dell Inspiron 1520 with a Nvidia GF8600M graphic card.
I'm trying to connect an external monitor for the laptop and used it as an extended monitor. I'm using Windows 7 and have the latest drivers from NVIDIA but still I cannot use the VGA port. In the NVIDIA configuration pannel I can see the monitor, even the model, but nothig appears on the screen. I've tried to use it as a extended monitor, duplicat monitor, even as a solo monitor with no success.
    Do you have any suggestions?

    Thx

Just because it's a 1520 with a 8600M, I'd venture it's an early sign of GPU failure. Usually it's the internal display that stops working first, but I've seen a couple cases of the reverse.
