    how do you check what make screen you got. i dont really know what grainyness is, but ive just ordered from the UK site and theres a chance that dell hasnt brought in the better screens here. inother words if i get lumbered with a grainy screen, which going by what people say are made AUO, i think ill return and hope they change it to something else

    Go to Control Panel->System->Device Manager

    Click on the monitor listing and google the hardware ID that comes out. That should help you find the maker.
