I've just bought a Dell Vostro 1700.
Just wondering about two things in the BIOS.
Under the 'Onboard Devices' section, there is something called 'Module Bay' which can be enabled or disabled. What exactly does this do and/or control? My first guess is to detect an external floppy drive that has been connected.
Under the 'Wireless' section, there is something called 'Internal Cellular' which can be enabled or disabled. Does this boost wireless signal or something?
Thanks!

The Module Bay is where your optical drive is currently located. Some Dells allow you to pop out the CD/DVD drive and replace it with a 2nd battery or 2nd Hard Drive. You'll probably want to keep this enabled.
The Internal Cellular refers to an optional component also known as a Broadband card. If purchased, the Broadband card allows high-speed wireless internet access via the national cellular system using a sub******ion with AT&T, Sprint or Verizon. This is different from any built-in Wi-Fi adapters which require a wireless access point to be available.
Clear as mud? ;-) -
the wireless broadband card is for on the move Broadband from a telecoms network, just like the examples given by the above poster.
In the UK, Dell use the Vodafone network card. -
Thanks for the help people!

Various BIOS settings I don't understand.
