I have vertical line about an inch from left side thicknes 1 pixel color is yellow. It only shows on laptop screen it is not visible on external monitor. I checked conections and the video ribbon from motherboard to lcd everything looks fine no visible damage to the cable. When I disconnected video cable from the lcd leaving power cable in white lightup lcd doesn't show the line. Tested few different drivers no luck. Laptop is out of warranty. I am not sure if this is bad lcd or video cable. I dont know if there is any place to buy video cable? Dell has it only with lcd screen and that's big $$$. I rather eliminate all posibilites before I have to buy new screen. If somebody has any idea what part is falty or where can i look to buy a cable please let me know TX

This is a bad LCD. Basically a tab that is damaged. This can not be a bad video cable, as bad video is not verticaly selective.
