So if anyone reads my posts they know I originally ordered a 1520 back on July 12th, estimated ship date was today with of course Midnight Blue and I got the delay call.
So I call to see what I can do, man I've never been transferred so many times, I litterally spent over 2 hours on the phone.
In the end they upgraded me to T7500 Processor, and the Dell travel remote and of course changed my color to black so no delays all for the same price as my original order.
Also got the $100 off for the GDDR3 non-sense.

Total Cost with Tax and Shipping....................$1475.25

They didn't want to throw back in my free upgraded overnight shipping so once the order was done and I called back, complained again and got it!
    Weeeeeeeeeeeee
That was almost not worth it, but I suppose it worked out for the best.
I have a head ache for reals!!

well might be worth it, last time I checked my job don't pay me $75-100 per hour(assuming your upgrade is worth 150-200)

It always makes me feel better about my own order to hear someone having good luck with Dell, even if it took a while. Nice job on the call back, too.

Your sig says "Black Color with Microsatin Finish"

I dont know if you know this, but the black is one of the two colors (with alpine white) that -doesnt- come with the Microsatin finish. (Thats why it is $20 cheaper)

So you might want to fix your sig!

Do you have more than the default warranty? If not, they really didn't give you much of a deal because mine cost $1300 and has the same exact specs as yours, only with the T7100. But if you have like 3yr CC or something, that's a very good price.

Yup, I got the 3 yr with low jack and all that~

    Sig Fixed, my fault!

Man as detailed as possible, that's a lot of detail.
Like you I was bounced around and around. I'll tell you this though, I ordered through my company Citigroup. The customer service when you get to that department is wayyy better.
I talked to this rep for a very long time, he kept trying to give me the same order I had a higher price, after much haggling he offered me $40 off...finally it of course escalated to a supervisor who found my original order and agreed to match it.
At that point after I explained to him as why I canceled the order because of the backorder items, which he proceeds to tell me the T7300 is also on backorder, so they up me to the T7500 for free, I already had the Dell travel remote thrown in at that point.
I think that about covers it, man it was rough for reals!

So you had to cancel and resubmit your order I assume?
Or were they able to actively modify your order?

Yup, had to cancel and re-submit, they don't modify orders. They have a order modification department that is really cancel and re-order your order department. /sigh

I tried getting upgraded and was told it would get pushed back...How did you get away with the same ship date?

What do you mean? I guess it depends on the parts your order, ship date is Aug 9th. If I would have choose a different color or the T7300 would have been closer to the 20th.

So this was just reordered today, with a ship date of August 9th? I'd like to get my facts straight before I call.

I originally asked them if changing screen size would help move the order, then I tried getting the HD upgraded and they said either one would push my order back. I assumed all upgrades would do the same.

Anyway, glad to see it worked out for you!

All I know is if I get delayed again, I'm seriously canceling for a final time and going with the ASUS G1S.
I was very, very close to doing it this time. Just don't feel like spending the $500 extra although it would be nice to get GDDR3!

I might end up asking for your order number at some point for proof, haha. I can only hope to be that lucky tomorrow.
