(Just some rambling thoughts of mine I wanted to share)

It is known that Alienware is releasing a 15" lappy that will be able to house an 8800GTX....

~Alienware is now owned by Dell~

Dell is releasing a 15" XPS in the M1530 with a very vague spec sheet released for field techs....

Anyone else see where I am going with this?

    :) :) :) :)

On a side note, I have been rocking COD4 -- that is a pretty bad-a$$ game!!!!

that would be NUTS! an 8800GTX in a laptop!!

Surely that thing would get ROASTING hot tho?!

I mean the cooling on the current desktop 8800GTX GPU's covers the whole graphics card! Even if they increased the size of the die to help disipate heat, you would still need some mental cooling, esp when in as cramp a space as a laptop!

Ummm...the 8800M GTX is on its way, but I doubt it will go in anything smaller than a 17".

Umm...if you read the announcement posted by Chaz, you would see that in fact there will be a 15 incher with the 8800GTX.

Well cool...I learned my new thing for the day :D. I assumed that, since I am not aware of any sub-17" notebooks using anything higher than an 8600, 7600, or 6600, there would not be any in the future, either. Good to know, though.

Alienware is coming out w/ 15" equipped w/ single 8800M, but I doubt it on the M1530 since the system is supposed to be compact, and will have poor air flow.

There is a reason why the M1730 is so beasty!

Does the laptop come with a metal slide-out tray to cook eggs on while playing Crysis? :)

My M90 plays Crysis just fine @ med/high settings, 1200x800 res.

It will only play better w/ better optimization/drivers.
