Sorry if this has been covered before but it seems like quite avast forum to search.

I've owned my 6000 since Sept 05 and didn't notice any real problems with my battery unitl around 3-4 months ago. At first I could watch a movie on the bus home for around 100 minutes before the battery ran out.

As Im now typing however having just unplugged the mains charger, I only have 26 minutes battery left (running only mozilla). Is it time for me to rpelace my battery or is there a simpler problem?

    Many thanks in advance
    Louis

Have you been calibrating your battery at all since 9/05? It could be your fuel gauge is out of whack. But it could also be that your battery's cells are substantially weaker than when they were new. Li-Ion batteries are only expected to last 1-3 years anyway.

Read through the battery guide for more information on the subject.

Maybe you should try a program like NHC or MobileMeter to check your batteries wear level. You should be able to easily find MobileMeter by doing a search. Try recallibrated your battery like Chris said and see if you see a difference in the wear level and run time. Also you could go into the bios and check to see if the battery is functioning properly. =)
