Hi
Ordered a Vostro 1500 last sunday, aug 12th.
20hrs ago it was in pre-production stage.
Now it is shipped and has been picked up by the transporting company![]()
The estimated date was Sept 12![]()
I am so excited atm!
Finally I don't have to use my old desktop with a 933mhz P3 cpu and 128mb's of ram, mounted on a wooden board anymore!

wow, lucky you are
-
roobarb, you really should go out and buy a lottery ticket for tonight, this is definately your lucky day. Very few can say their system has shipped that fast! Congrats!
-
Yes i am really pleased!
If my luck holds it should probably be here on friday.
Does anyone know if UPS operates on saturdays? -
I received mine is 5 days as well. But the following thought has been haunting me for a long time now: Given that it takes them atleast a week to build their laptop (normally), I suspect that the reason for such quick delivery in your case is that they simply shipped you a returned laptop
. There's no way they'd build it that fast when other people are have an avg. wait time of atleast 10 days (for same config.)
Anyone knows?
Edit: When I mean "returned", I'm referring to relatively new laptops returned within their 30-day return policy period -
Or rather, someone canceled their order
-
more likely but damn! well done!
-
aye, that comes as a relief
-
I'd go with the someone canceled their order but who knows
-
If you read the fine print at the website, you will see that Dell cannot sell a return or canceled order unless they notify the customer receiving the system.
...at least thats what we all hope.......lol -
Well I sure hope so, cause I don't want a ****in used computer
-
very lucky indeed. you waited 20 hours and I've been waiting over 900 hours.
Very lucky on Vostro 1500 ?
