    Recieved notebook and screen appears to be crack on inside and wont work.................... :( the 1705

    Called and i was told they will replace the system for me, it will be made and sent out in a week.....

    how is that handled do you have send in the damage laptop in first and then they ship you a brand newone. Do they cover S&H cost?

    They will ship out new system (next day service free).............. Then I will call in the number inside and they will come pick up the defective system....p.s. should i keep the deffective system(what can they do to me if I dont return it) ?? I am going to return it by the way, I am an law abiding citizen just curious....

    Exactly. You will be charged for both systems. Dell can be nice sometimes like allowing you to keep your defective system while a new one is sent, but don't expect them to give systems away.

    Well its a debit card....not credit :) But I dont want a notebook with a damaged monitor anyway....

    well, u could replace the parts if needed from the old laptop. say your new one has messed up RAM, but the old one didnt. then i suppose you could replace it, and be ok...but dont take my word on that
