    Funny but my m1210 vibrates like the 1330 while the
    optical drive is running.. I'm wondering if with that computer
    the optical drive like is stuck running.
    Any ideas???

    This is normal for most drives.

    I used to have this with my D620.
    It used to be fine, nice and quiet, even with the drive spinning. Then suddenly one day, out of the blue, every time the drive span up, it would vibrate like crazy and would be as loud as anything. I dont remember making any changes etc to cause it.

    However, its definately not normal. Drives shouldnt be so loud and vibrate like crazy when they spin up. My current drive certainly doesnt.

    Ive sold that laptop now, but if I were you I'd ring dell.

    If you place a disc in the drive and run said disc you will have vibration its a fact.
