    My Vostro 1400 came in the mail today! +1
    Ever since I ordered it I've been reading the horror stories about how bad the AUO screens were. -1
    As soon as I got the laptop I turned it on to check out the screen. I didn't notice any problems and then I checked the Hardware ID. Lo and behold I got an SEC screen. +10!

    I don't notice any grainyness (although I'm new to such terms), but I do wish the screen was a little brighter.

    But that's not too much of an issue since the laptop as a whole is wonderful!

    Point being, that not EVERY dell Vostro 1400 that gets shipped is defective.

    Problem with forum sites like these are all that people talk about are the negatives, when in reality i bet it's safe to say that a lot of people do get good systems from the get-go
