Hi all,
I'm new to the site and discovered it because I'm looking for help finishing up reformatting my Dell Inspiron E1705.
As far as I can tell, everything up back to normal after the the reformat and reinstall of XP. Finally got all my drivers figured out and everything seems to be working except...
I can't get my video driver installed!!!
I have a NVIDIA GeForce 7900GS graphics card in the computer right now.
About 6 months ago, my graphics card went out in my laptop (blank screen) but I found a replacement graphics card (same exact one that came in my computer originally, Dell Part No. DG008) and installed it and it everything was fine. I'm wondering if the card I replaced, even though I think it's the exact same, has something to do with the video driver from dell's website not wanting to install.
Hopefully someone will have an answer to why I cannot get my video driver installed. Thanks in advance.
