Whenever I play any video on Windows Media Player, it flickers. What's the problem?

    I have Vista m1730.

Also, when play Battlefield 2, after an hour or so, the CPU (2.2Ghz t7500) maxes out, the screeen goes black and then the computer crashes.

Tried any other media players? Like VLC? Or even Media Direct?
If yes, do they show the same problem?

I don't know why playing Battlefield 2 would max out your CPU.
Is Vista doing any indexing in the background?
Are you using an antivirus that could be scanning?
