I recently formatted my Dell E1705 and am having some playback issues mainly but not only on Quicktime, espeically the quicktime HD movie trailers. All drivers are installed and majority of videos work perfect even WMVHDs. The print screens are seen below:

Any help would be much appericiated, as the dell techincal support are mostly useless. I have a core duo 1.83 ghz, with the trulife screen, 1 gig ram and 7900gs.

yea, it's just the video decoder and how it works, i downloaded the exact same trailer at 1080p to test out, my e1705 is almost exactly configured the same. i know when u get it new you tend to be paranoid, but nothing's wrong, that's just the video. in fact, my spots are identical to yours.

that's what it looked like to me at first, glad to get confirmation. it's just the way the video was compressed.
