    Little Back Round;

    I recently got my Dell Inspiron with a bunch of custom upgrades and everything works perfectly fine, at least ALMOST everything.

    Specs are: 1.6 GHz intel dual core, 2G RAM, 128mb NVidia 8400 GS, 160gb HD, 14" screen.

    I can run Team Fortress 2 and CS Source at Med-High settings with no lag, I can also run World of Warcraft at max settings even with Fraps on, and absolutely no lag and its all crystal-clear.

    But I do have one problem, and thats basic Video Quality. Streams, Downloads, hell even DVDs look so CRAPPY on my laptop. I just don't know why, I downloaded DiVx, Media Player Codec bundles, VLC, RM player classic, etc, you name it I have it. I can't even watch downloaded anime without blocky imaging and very ugly sharpness. Streaming youtube and stage6 stuff is crappy as hell too, I just don't understand why. I'm beginning to wonder if its a hardware problem rather than software, if anyone knows how to solve this solution for me please help :eek: :eek:

    I have the exact same RAM, processor and video card, and stuff looks fine. Without doing anything special, I can watch DVDs in VLC or MediaDirect. In VLC, they look a little pixelated, but it's better in MediaDirect. YouTube videos look fine. Have you downloaded the latest drivers for your video card?

    thats the thing, i have yet to download a driver that works. I went to the official Nvidia website and downloaded the driver, but it doesnt seem to install saying its the wrong driver. I have only downloaded Directx10 though.

    Do you or anyone happen to know where i can download an updated driver for a 8400m GS?

    I have the same card, and I just recently downloaded one.

    You just

    1. Download the executable and the modded .inf
    2. Run the executable
    3. Replace the .inf in the extracted folder with the modded one
    4. Run setup.exe
    5. Restart
    6. Enjoy!
