I have a Dell E1505 and I am trying to connect to my new phillips hdtv. I have a s-video cord to connect to the tv but the image is not very clear and the colors are all off. I noticed on the back of my laptop that the output has more prongs than are on a standard s-video cable, so I don't know if that has anything to do with the problem.

Any help would be appreciated. First Time Poster

    Thanks

S-Video to HDTV is never going to be very clear. S-Video only carries a VGA resolution for SDTVs so when that's stretched 2-3 times for HD, it's going to be very blurry.

Do you have any other ports outside of VGA?

What options do you have on your tv. Do you have dvi or hdmi?
