Okay, I just read up on Vista a little, and found out that Vista Business does not have Aero Standard. It just has Aero Glass and Vista Basic.

Reading on, Aero Standard is Aero without transparencies and 3D effects.

So what's the difference between Aero Standard and Vista Basic??

On another note, does Vista Business come with Chess Titans? It looks interesting...

I suppose Aero enables functions such as window previews and Flip3D. Either way, my Home Premium doesn't seem to have standard; but I can disable transparency.

Maybe it's just an older Vista level that was canceled, but it doesn't include Flip3D and previews.

Vista Standard is only available on Home Basic, you don't get any of the transparency effects of Vista Aero or flip3D and such, but you have to have the powerful graphics hardware that Aero requires.

It isn't included with the other versions because you can turn off transparency of Aero to get the same effect while keeping flip3D and other advanced features.

Looks like everyone's already answered you first question. About Chess Titans, yes.

Haha, I tried DreamScenes once and had to get rid of it. Soooo distracting, which the desktop should not be, in my opinion. :p That's not to mention the battery life that would be sacrificed.

Its a plug in thing...would never expect to achieve battery life with it. It is a great bonus though....really shows off the system

I think you can still install the games from the Vista Business CD later.

Control Panel > Programs and features > Turn on/off windows features > Tablet PC compnents checkbox.

I'm not behind my (Vista) computer right now, but you get the picture as to where to navigate to.
