Yesterday I purchased the Dell Inspiron 9400 after seeing the special deals they had posted

I found that with a lower price and no difference between the home and buisness notebooks aside from the OS options that the 9400 (buisness) was the better deal. I ended up being able to customize the inspiron 9400 for $1468 (+tax), while the same customized setup for the e1705 was over $1700!

*[my setup is posted in my sig]

But with the 9400 they did not offer Vista Home Premium :[ so I had to get Basic.

After Looking at the differences between the different "Vista Editions" I found that almost all of the extra features in the Premium (and above) I didnt really need.

So, my question is what do you think is the biggest difference or most important features that you think are left out in Vista Basic?

Lack of Aero is the biggest disadvantage.

    alright. thanks guys. :)

well i'll probably upgrade to at least premium sometime in the near future.

This notebook fit my budget well and I was just trying to get some strong permanent components of the system before spending more on the upgradable features.
