I just finally got Aero working with the Intel 950GMA on a Latitude D620. The Windows Update driver WILL NOT work, you have to manually set the display driver to the Intel Lakeport. Once this is done Aero is enabled. I'll report back once I have some time to evaluate stability. I'll try to post some pics too. Just a quick thought...to those that said that Aero would be terrible with an integrated card, you might be surprised. With 1GB of system RAM it seems fine to me so far.

That's good to hear. Aero-glass was forcast to work with the GMA950, week as it is. It's good to here of it running in integrated graphics. I'll check back, remember to post how stable it is later.

Crashed my Vista twice already :D

Aero runs perfectly well with 9700M 128MB.

But I don't like the fact that there is constant CPU usage, even after I selected best performance.

Is speedstep working for you? For some reason my P4-M remains at full speed all the time. I had to use RM clock utility to force it to throttle on demand. Good thing that RM clock utility runs under vista.

I got a PM asking how I enabled the driver, here is what I had to do to get it to work:

Go to Device Manager, select the Display, and click update on the Intel 945 GM Driver. Now choose Browse My Computer for Driver Software. Then select Let Me choose from a list... Now, uncheck Show compatible hardware. Once you see the list of available devices, scroll down to Intel and you should see the Intel Lakeport driver. It wasn't obvious at all, it took me a few hours to find this information on the net. Good luck.
