    Hi Everyone,

I wish to use the vista classic there to get rid of the unwanted graphics for better performance. Everything works fine in Classic theme except watching movies..!!

*Movies played are not clear on screen as there were when laptop was in Vista Theme.
*We can easily see big the pixels while watching movies , which spoils all the entertainment.
*I have to switch back to Vista Theme to watch movies. or enable all graphic options in Classic theme to make the classic theme as clumsy as Vista.

Does any one faced the same problem? pleas try this and share your experience. Does this happens with only NVIDIA card users?

    Regards, ToVs

I've only noticed that issue occasionally when Vista switches me to Aero Basic mid way through video playback (usually due to a UAC prompt when I'm doing other stuff on my system)...

Are you running the latest from Nvidia driver wise? Also try restarting your media player when switching too classic, unless this is a persistent issue.

Might also help people if you posted your complete specs ;)

I use the classic theme, but I have yet to experience any of these problems. I'm not sure why it would need to switch back to the Vista Theme just to play movies.

Try updating your video driver, and also make sure Vista is up to date.

What app are you using to play video? Maybe try something besides WMP?

I've got the same problem with the latest drivers (169.04).
I use mediaplayer classic. I have less blocky movies when I play them with KMP player.
I don't know where the issue comes from. The same movies with the same (mediaplayer classic) on my xp box, don't have this annoying artefact...
Could it be the led screen that does this?
