    How can that be imroved?

When I got my Vostro with the Vista Basic I ran it and found most of the items are running around 4.5 except the Graphics card that was at 3.6.

So now I upgraded my 1GB to 2GB and ran the Index again. All scores are the same except my Ram score went up from 4.5 ---> 4.8?
My Graphic card score remained unchanged at 3.6. Any way to improve that? It shows dedicated at 128 + shared of about 867MB (i think)
Can other post if they see similar score with 2GB of RAM on the Vostro 1400?
Any setting I can change to improve it.

After the 2 GB install did not notice a very noticable improvement except programs maybe loading slightly faster.
Strangly enough Starcraft that I was able to play at 1280x800 now I get some weird shading effect when run at the native screen resolution. As a result I have to down the screen resolution to 1024x768 to run it without the shading effect. Anyone knows why?
    thx for all your input!!

The WEI score is basically useless, and has no effect on the actual performance of your system.

Also see about getting some newer drivers to fix Starcraft. Its hard to tell what your problem is without seeing it.

You can increase your graphics score by overclocking the nVidia card.

I really do not want to overclock, was just thinking if some simple configuration setup can help then I am up for it. Maybe an updated driver might help from Nvidia but nothing exist for now as I tried to update and it said latest driver installed.

Starcraft runs (frames) ok @1280-800 it is just that screen gets this yellow wash out effect and make it really hard to see anything clearly. Maybe it is a Vista issue who knows. I just noticed it after the @GB upgrade. It runs good @ lower setting though.

Definitely head over to www.laptopvideo2go.com and try the 163.44 "Bioshock" drivers. Also, changing drivers did not affect my WEI, but the games ran much better, further proof the WEI is junk.
