I'm wondering how well Vista Home Premium will run on my new machine
    Intel Core 2 Duo 5250 1.4GHZ, 2GB Ram, 120 GB 5200RPM and 8400M GS 128MB

I can get my hands on a copy no problem, but was wondering if my Processor at 1.4 GHZ would bottle neck me much. If anyone who has this version of vista(or ultimate) could tell me how well Vista performs for you, and what kind of load you put on it that would be very helpful.

Im sort of worried about how this will affect my battery life as well, and also being that I am a multi-tasker would this slow my system down to a crawl?

I Got Vostro 1500: C2d 5470 (1.8 Ghz, 800 Fsb), 2gb Ram, 160 Gb Hdd, 8400m Gs 128mb: 5 Days Back. It Seems My Old Desktop (celeron 1.3ghz, 256 Mb Ram, 20+80 Gb Hdd's, No Dedicated Graphics Card) Runs Much Faster. (even When Surfng Net, I Switched From My Lappy To Desktop 15 Min Back As It Was 2 Slow) Dont Know Whatz The Reason.

How come my C2D T5470 is showing 1.6GHz? Are you sure yours is 1.8Ghz?
